Hey, I'm Kat

I'm a whisky loving , tattoed babe from Christchurch NZ. I practice what i preach and get myself in front of the camera occassionally.

Photography is my part time - my full time career is on the tools. I'm a trade qualified automotive electrician specializing in transport. I moved over to Transport Refrigeration not too long ago, and started my apprenticeship for that industry.

I'm self - taught, and I think that what makes me more open to experimenting with shadows and contrast.

Where it all started

I got into boudoir photography after having done my own photoshoot with a photographer many moons ago. I'm pretty honest with this experience when asked, but basically I didn't actually want any of my photos.


I was left distraught with how I looked and felt about my body. I'm open about my struggles with mental health, and this experience was an absolute kick in the teeth.


I decided I didn't want that for anyone.


I wanted to help women get back to that feeling of self-worth.


As much as boudoir isn't a "fix all", it's a step stone in a journey you take alongside many others on this earth.


Our bodies are our stories. Every stretch mark, every scar is a part of what our bodies have carried us through. The parts of our life that have shaped us to who we are today.

Where it all started

I highly recommend Kathryn Louise Photography for any ladies looking to do a boudoir shoot. Kathryn made me feel super at ease and comfortable. I’m two years post partum and have really struggled with my post baby body and feeling sexy but after our photo shoot I’ve now realised that I can still be sexy even with the stretch marks and the extra weight that I haven’t managed to lose. I found the photoshoot so empowering and I feel confident that I can now rock wearing lingerie again. Thank you so much for the photos Kathryn, I love them!
